Uff, hvordan har det blitt så lenge? Suffice to say a lot has happened, not just in the larger world. We lost both dogs 2 1/2 months apart, David's dad died, we adopted Minnie (my first ever cat who didn't just sort of happen).

And then several months later, we brought home Petal

We still have our old man Cougar, who's 18 1/2 and still walking very slowly along.

Just before we brought Petal home, we went to Iceland and crossed over the Arctic Circle on the island of Grímsey. Because the Circle shifts with the change in the tilt of the Earth, in 2046, it will reach the northern tip of the island and not return to Icelandic shores for another 10,000 years.

Also just after our return, I started my first pottery class. That has been a very fun journey, and I hope that it will be something that, if it doesn't sustain me as a significant source of income, will at least become a self-funding hobby as I work my way ever closer to retirement. More to come on that, but I will see if I can keep up here a bit more regularly. Finding the time for long form writing can be a challenge, but in an age of AI slop, in particular, I think maybe it's time to refocus my attention on it a bit more.
